B2B Barometer Released – Health of the B2B Marketing Industry Revealed

The B2B Barometer, an in-depth analysis of the B2B marketing industry which surveys both agencies and client–side marketers has been released.

The Barometer consistently offers genuine and valuable insight into the industry and details not only a “state of the nation” study but also provides information on growing trends within B2B marketing activities, budgets and client desires. The B2B Barometer is currently in its 4th Phase and now offers 2 years of information, since the benchmark report was compiled in April 2009.

200 professionals, 92 from B2B Marketing Agencies and 108 client-side marketers were interviewed for the research, giving the best picture of the health and direction of our industry. The research has been compiled by 3 main organisations, Circle Research, The IDM (Institute of Direct Marketing) and ABBA (Association of B2B Agencies).

In the time since its inception the B2B Barometer has given B2B marketers highly relevant insight into how marketing budgets are being divided along digital and traditional means, which marketing methods are popular or becoming irrelevant and also, how organisations view B2B marketing channels.

The fact that the Barometer has been ongoing now for over 2 years shows its value to marketers and in a sphere that regularly sees different reports rise and fall in prominence, it remains one of, if not the most, authoritative pieces of research to be found within the B2B marketing environment.
