Average UK shopper to spend £509 online this Xmas

New research from Forrester suggests that UK online retailers stand to make huge gains this Christmas. The e-commerce market is expected to rise by 40% from last year.

UK shoppers spend the most online, more than France and Germany combined, the new report reveals. Within the European e-commerce market the UK has a share of 38.5%, with shoppers predicted to spend £13.6 billion between 1 October and 25 December.

The research further underlines how the UK is at the forefront of online; acting as a key indicator for European online ad spend behaviour.
