Drupal Web Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Drupal developer to join our Build team here at Coast Digital. We have an experienced team, delivering a mixture of Drupal and WordPress projects. The role is varied, with hands on technical development at its core but you can also expect to work on scoping, specification and support/troubleshooting tasks. We’re a dedicated, experienced and hard-working team that’s delivered some really successful and interesting work.

Main Duties

Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Design and Build team’s technical workload. This includes and is not limited to the following activities:

  • 3+ years Drupal development experience (including significant experience with Drupal 7)
  • Front-end coding (CSS/JS) and Drupal theming experience
  • 5+ years of general web development experience
  • Ability to provide time estimates for feature development and identify risks/uncertainties
  • Expertise with common Drupal-contributed modules (familiarity with Drupal’s database api, Views, Paneliser, Panel, Context, Delta, Features, familiarity with Drupal distributions – Panopoly or similar, etc)
  • Comfortable using GIT version control and a CLI
  • Strong understanding of OOP PHP
  • 2-3+ years Drupal theme and module development experience
  • Experience with AJAX, jQuery and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of standards compliant HTML / CSS
  • Familiarity with 3rd party APIs

  • Experience with commerce solutions for Drupal 7 – (essential)
  • Substantial experience in an online design and build department – (essential)
  • Experience of troubleshooting in an online environment – (essential)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines – (essential)
  • Knowledge of industry standard databases, especially: SQL server and mySQL (essential)
  • Prioritisation of workload, time management, flexibility – (preferred)
  • Experience in the production of project documentation (technical specifications, functional specifications) – (preferred)
  • Contributions to (nice to have!)
