Frequently-asked SEO questions

How quickly can you get me to the top spot in Google?

We can’t guarantee that we will. Reaching number one in search engine listings depends on the keywords or phrases you want the top listing for, the strength of your competition (and the quality of their own SEO), and the budget you have to achieve your goal.

That said, we have helped many clients reach number one in Google for a variety of search terms. For example, when Netbenefit became a Coast Digital client, it ranked 34th in Google for the phrase high end servers. Within two months, we had brought the firm on to the front page, where it ranked fourth. See our case studies for further examples.

How can I monitor / report search engine optimisation?

Every month we will provide you with a detailed report of all your Coast Digital services. This will include information about where your site ranks in Google for certain search terms, the ROI on your investment, and the performance of any PPC (pay per click) campaigns we are managing.

Surely SEO is just about tricking Google?

No, it is about optimising good content to achieve the best possible rankings. We practise ethical SEO and always stay within the guidelines of the major search engines.

If my site reaches the top of the search engine rankings, how much profit will I make?
It depends on the nature of your business! However, if you reach the top of Google’s rankings, 42% of searchers (on average) will click through to your site. Better exposure means more visitors and greater profits.

Why don’t I just use a firm that guarantees results within 48 hours?

Because you will be throwing your money away. Firms offering very cheap SEO may well be using unethical ‘black hat’ techniques – and you could easily end up seeing your site banned from all the major search engines.

Why does my competitor rank higher for my chosen search term?

The chances are that they hire an effective SEO agency. You need one too, or you’ll miss out: contact us today.
