Customer service software maker Parature will today release a Facebook application that will help brands provide advanced customer support services to users though their Facebook page.
The app, called Parature for Facebook, will allow a company’s Facebook page to function as a fully-fledged customer support centre, accessible to users via a new ‘Support’ tab.
Parature joins others such as Get Satisfaction’s Social Engagement Hub to bring customer service software to businesses that increasingly engage with audiences via social media.
The Parature app integrates into a company’s Facebook page, allowing users to ‘Find an Answer’, ‘Ask a Question’ or start a live chat with a company representative. The app includes a ‘Monitor’ function where the company can view queries and any posts flagged up as relating to a customer service issue.
The Facebook app integrates with Parature’s Service Desk software, which provides a more robust means of handling and delegating queries.
Rosetta Stone will be the first company to feature Parature’s ‘Support’ tab on its Facebook page.
