Anglian businesses reach for online marketing

New research by the Chartered Instutite of Marketing and an East Anglian digital marketing company has revealed that businesses in Eastern England are feeling upbeat about the economy — and that they want to invest in online marketing.

The study, reported in the East Anglian Daily Press, revealed that Anglian firms have been the most flexible in the country during the recession, with 55% reporting changes to their product or service offerings.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing's Philip Preston, the regional director for the East of England and Greater London, was very optimistic about the findings: “The country as a whole is still gripped by uncertainty but East Anglia businesses appear determined to work hard through the slump and to adapt to the changes.”

Best of all, businesses in the Eastern Region are reporting that they plan to invest in digital direct marketing. Over a quarter - 27% - planned to try social media marketing, 20% were intending to address search engine optimisation and 22% were thinking of starting a blog.

Of those surveyed, 55% agreed with the statement that: "Those who invest in marketing through a recession are best placed when the recession ends."

We agree, and are happy to help East Anglian businesses - whether they're from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire or Hertfordshire - with all aspects of online marketing and help with achieving an impressive return on their investment. Contact us today to learn more.
