Latest advice about advertising gambling on AdWords

A Staffer

Following yesterday’s update from Google about advertising online gambling, they’ve issued some further advice. To apply to advertise your online gambling aggregator site with Google AdWords, you will need to:

  • Contact Google to create a new Google AdWords account solely for your gambling campaigns (this applies to both new and existing advertisers).
  • Fill in the application form and legal declaration. This link is for gambling sites, but you can also find a link to the aggregator application form on this page. Please be sure to submit your new AdWords Customer ID, located at the top of any of your account pages.

Well, it’s amazing. The miracle has been done. Hat’s off. Well done, as we know that “hard work always pays off”, after a long struggle with sincere effort it’s done.

Hi Paul, I believe Google's position on this is that they are looking for aggregators that actively promote gambling products on their website, not guides or systems. From looking at your website it would seem you are providing a guide to gambling not reselling specific racing offers etc. Perhaps you could profile some products on your website to meet their criteria, but also promote other areas of your business?

Hi Ashley,

I recently submitted my aggregator application form but was disapproved - they said my site www.skybluekangaroo.com was not an aggregator site. I'm an intelligent guy, but I cannot see where I am falling foul of their process, and subsequent emails for advice have been met with the standard "canned" responses. Any ideas?
